Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the MST program, focusing on safety and respect
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Advocate for patients and deliver trauma-informed care with sensitivity
• Educate patients and families about care plans, resources, and follow-up
• Respond to overnight clinical changes and escalate concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience or interest in MST-related care (MST specialty listed as primary skill)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred as applicable
• Proven clinical judgment and ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working in multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Relevant continuing education or specialty training in trauma-informed care is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and best practices
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight patient management
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Compassionate bedside manner with an emphasis on patient dignity and safety
