Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a 36-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and respond promptly to condition changes
• Continuously monitor telemetry rhythms and take appropriate action when abnormalities arise
• Safely perform unit procedures such as PICC and vas-cath/temp-cath removals
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech, ensuring continuity and clarity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, participate in bedside shift report, and support hourly rounding
• Support patient experience initiatives like My Care Boards and AIDET to improve satisfaction and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply; compact may be accepted based on state rules)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (MedSurg/Telemetry experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Proven ability to interpret telemetry rhythms and act decisively
• Comfortable with unit equipment: telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, bladder scanner, iMobile devices
• Dependable team player with strong communication, multitasking, and stress-management skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring
• MedSurg patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Meditech documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Use of Dynamaps, glucometers, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication tools
• Familiarity with patient safety practices, hourly rounding, and bedside shift reporting
