Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Support unit flow by prioritizing tasks and assisting team members during busy periods

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience (as listed in the job posting)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications are a plus
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team

Education

• Nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN (BSN preferred where available)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medical-surgical clinical assessment and intervention skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
