Location: Oxnard, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using FetalLink and Cerner EMR
Assist with deliveries and circulate during C-sections
Float between L&D and postpartum units as needed, including NICU support for grower/feeders
Collaborate with charge nurses, OB techs, and neonatologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and feeding

Qualifications

Active RN license in California or compact state
2-3 years of recent L&D and postpartum nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Fetal monitoring certification (AWOHNN intermediate or advanced) required
Stable certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery and postpartum nursing
Proficiency with Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring
Ability to circulate for C-sections and assist with deliveries
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable floating between units and caring for complex patients
