Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and respond appropriately
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway support with competence and confidence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update individualized care plans
• Perform timely and accurate documentation in the patient chart and communicate changes in condition
• Educate patients and families with empathy and clear, calming communication
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact state eligibility if applicable)
• Prior ICU experience — comfortable with critical care patient acuity
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and triage skills in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work per diem nights and adapt to changing assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and medication administration safety
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
