Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced life support equipment
• Document patient care, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate and support patients and families during critical care episodes
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred
• Demonstrated critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to fast-paced ICU environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Advanced monitoring and ventilator management
• IV therapy, infusion pump and hemodynamic support knowledge
• Strong clinical judgment and multitasking under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
