Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during triage, treatment, and stabilization
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and the care team to drive efficient patient flow
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions, medications, and IV therapy as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans clearly and timely in the electronic chart
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patient safety and quality while maintaining a calm, professional presence under pressure

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing preferred; comfortable with high-acuity patients
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in dynamic situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered focus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
