Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate emergency care to patients during overnight shifts
Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER environment
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Experience in Emergency Room nursing or strong interest in emergency care
Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work independently overnight and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment
Cardiac monitoring and basic emergency procedures
IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Calm decision-making in high-acuity situations and strong teamwork
