Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, compassionate critical care to oncology and BMT ICU patients
• Manage ventilators, BIPAP, and complex respiratory support including tracheostomy care
• Titrate vasoactive drips and manage IV pumps safely and accurately
• Perform total patient care tasks including turning, dressing changes, and wound care
• Monitor and manage invasive lines such as A-lines and use Flow-track hemodynamic monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and participate in ICU procedures as needed
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to practice in Texas or compact RN license as applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (strong critical care background required)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS (required)
• Demonstrated experience with titrating drips, ventilator management, and BIPAP
• Comfortable with tracheostomy care, A-lines, IV pumps, and Flow-track monitoring
• Ability to work rotating nights and weekends; team-player attitude and strong communication skills
• CRRT and transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing in an Oncology/BMT ICU setting
• Ventilator management and BIPAP support
• Titration of vasoactive drips and IV pump management
• Tracheostomy care and total patient care for complex patients
• Experience with CRRT (preferred)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and flow-track hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to manage invasive lines (A-line) and monitor hemodynamics
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and team collaboration skills
