Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned area
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Document clinical assessments, interventions and patient responses with clarity
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and support individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications and discharge instructions
• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (or compact/state equivalent) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and time management
• Valid nursing license and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and documentation skills that are accurate and efficient
• Medication administration and safe IV/medication handling practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and team members
