Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate direct care to elderly residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care accurately and timely in resident records to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver personalized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety policies

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and clear background check
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and geriatric care principles
• Skill in safe patient handling and use of mobility aids
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a team
• Reliable time management and documentation skills
