Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote patient comfort and fall prevention
• Support care plans by accurately documenting observations and interventions
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless patient care
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (California) in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing patient needs during the night
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures and patient safety practices
• Ability to take and record accurate vital signs and patient observations
• Familiarity with charting and documentation protocols (paper or electronic)
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort patients and families
