Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure continuity of care
- Document care and report changes in patient condition promptly
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Active authorization to practice in the state of California preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with patient hygiene, mobility assistance and feeding support
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Good charting and basic documentation skills
- Team player who can follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
