Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and act quickly on changes to patient status
• Deliver skilled nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including medication administration and assessments
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to providers and leadership as needed
• Float between like units when required to meet facility needs while maintaining scope of practice
• Support unit goals for safety, patient satisfaction, and efficient throughput

Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Epic experience preferred (charting in Epic is used at the facility)
• Willingness to work night shifts and provide every-other-weekend coverage
• Comfort floating to like units as needed
• First-time travel nurses welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Solid medical-surgical nursing skills and critical thinking
• Proficient documentation and charting in Epic
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients with changing acuity
• Familiarity with ACLS protocols and emergency response
