Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care following established standards and best practices
• Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong clinical judgment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient education in the pulmonary clinic
• Engage patients, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and support self-management
• Respond calmly and effectively during emergencies and urgent situations
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow ICD-10/CPT documentation guidelines
• Participate as an active member of the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider — meets AHA standards
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly, follow provider instructions, and prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Able to perform physical tasks including assisting/lifting patients and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a busy clinic environment and traveling to other offices if needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical judgment in outpatient settings
• Medication administration and monitoring for effect and side effects
• Patient education and care coordination tailored to pulmonary patients
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT basics
• Infection control practices and safe handling of bodily fluids
• Proficient documentation skills and use of clinical equipment
• Emergency response and situational awareness in clinic environments
