Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document patient responses
• Monitor patients’ condition and report changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with care planning, wound care, and daily living activities as appropriate
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
• Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and infection-control standards

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required or obtain upon hire per facility policy)
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements
• Previous LPN clinical experience in an acute or rehab setting preferred
• Strong medication administration skills and charting accuracy
• Reliable, professional, with strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or vocational nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, vital signs, and medication administration
• Charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfort working with interdisciplinary teams and following care plans
• Good infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication with patients and families
