Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and care
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe patient mobility, transfers and positioning to prevent injury
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Communicate compassionately with patients and families, keeping them informed and comfortable
• Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times
• Collaborate with the care team to contribute to individualized patient plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-approved) — must be active and in good standing
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and assisting with mobility
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care techniques and infection control
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
• Skilled in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear, professional communication with patients, families and staff
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
