Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the assigned area
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care and updates clearly and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Support a positive patient experience by advocating for patient needs and comfort

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; other certifications welcomed
• Comfortable working 12-plus hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM schedule shown)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), diploma in nursing, or practical nursing certificate as appropriate for licensure
• BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and charting proficiency
• Familiarity with standard nursing procedures and infection control
• Ability to prioritize and manage time during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
