Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes to the care team
- Document care activities thoroughly and maintain clear clinical records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to create person-centered care plans
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions with a calm, professional approach
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — ready to practice in New Mexico preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, local candidate (LOCAL ONLY) able to commit to the assignment
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN program completion)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and medication administration
- Ability to assess resident needs and escalate concerns appropriately
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and clinical charting
- Comfort working in a fast-paced care setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-facing care
