Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care in an 18-bed Emergency Department
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Respond rapidly and effectively to emergency situations and trauma cases
- Document care and coordinate treatment using the Cerner EMR system
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and safe discharge instructions
- Maintain professional certification and stay current with emergency nursing best practices
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (required)
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications (current)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical thinking and rapid clinical assessment
- Emergency nursing protocols and trauma response
- Cerner EMR documentation and electronic charting
- Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
- Ability to perform well under high stress and fast-paced conditions
- Collaborative teamwork with interdisciplinary clinical staff
