Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound exams including vascular and OB across all trimesters
• Deliver high-quality imaging and accurate documentation using EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS
• Operate and maintain department ultrasound units (Toshiba; new Phillips units arriving)
• Coordinate with radiologists who are on-site multiple days per week to ensure effective patient care
• Communicate findings professionally and collaborate with the care team to support clinical decisions
• Adhere to department protocols, patient safety standards and infection control best practices

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) required; specific ARDMS credentials welcomed
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of sonography experience (general ultrasound, OB and vascular highly desired)
• Comfortable performing OB (all trimesters), vascular studies, and general ultrasound procedures
• Willingness to participate in weekend on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls

Education

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent preferred
• Professional ARDMS certification and current BLS required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in general ultrasound, OB imaging, and vascular sonography
• Familiarity with Epic (EpicCare Inpatient) and Fuji PACS for charting and image management
• Experience using Toshiba ultrasound systems; adaptable to Phillips systems as they arrive
• Strong patient communication, clinical judgment and time management skills
• Ability to work independently in an acute hospital setting and collaborate with radiology team
