Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU patients across both campuses
• Manage post-procedural and cardiac populations including post cardiac cath and CABG recovery
• Safely titrate and manage common drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin)
• Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with monitor techs to ensure timely interventions
• Float between units and campuses, including inpatient holds in the ED, while maintaining excellent patient handoffs
• Work within nurse:patient ratios (PCU 1:4, MedSurg/Tele 1:5-6) to prioritize and deliver safe care
• Participate in unit orientation and follow facility policies including scrub/dress code and scheduling rules

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for submission in Arizona
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience preferred; at least 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience required
• Must be able to titrate drips and manage common critical care medications
• Successful completion of dysrhythmia exam with score ≥80% within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Comfortable working nights, floating between units, and adapting to variable assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) acceptable; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Experience with post-cardiac cath and CABG post-op care and groin site management
• Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP and heated high-flow therapies used in PCU and MedSurg
• Ability to manage multiple patients in MedSurg/Tele pods and prioritize care
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting
• Good communication skills for rapid assignment changes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
