Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU and ICU-CV recovery patients
• Interpret telemetry and EKG strips for your patients and act on changes promptly
• Manage advanced hemodynamic support including cardiac and vasoactive drips and conscious sedation
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary rounds with intensivists, pharmacists, RTs and the care team
• Float to assigned MedSurg/Tele units as needed while maintaining safe patient care
• Participate in unit orientation, competency testing (EKG interpretation and specialty curricula) and ongoing education

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit for local licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience (ICU/ED/PICU preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and floating between units
• Experience with cardiac patients, post-op CABG/TAVR/Impella and ventilator management is a strong plus
• Cerner EMR experience required

Education

• Active RN license required (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and EKG interpretation skills (additional STEMI/procedural sedation curricula tests may apply)
• Familiarity with Spacelabs monitoring and bedside tele-monitoring workflows
• Skilled in vasoactive drip titration, conscious sedation, and acute respiratory failure management
• Ability to collaborate in high-pressure situations and respond to rapid responses
• Comfort working with hospital communication systems (pagers, internal spectra link phones) and Omnicell
