Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergent patients with accuracy and compassion
- Operate and optimize GE CT scanners and adhere to department imaging protocols
- Provide high-quality care for trauma and emergent cases in a Level II facility
- Collaborate with radiologists and the CT team to support procedures and interpretation
- Document studies accurately in Epic and manage PACS workflows
- Maintain radiation safety practices and follow facility policies for badge use and monitoring
- Assist with IV starts and contrast administration when able (preferred, not strictly required)
- Participate in orientation and mentor new or traveling staff when assigned
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) and Certified CT Technologist (ARRT-CT) verification required (ARRT-CT preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience or relevant radiology experience
- Experience working with trauma patients preferred (Level II trauma experience)
- Comfort using Epic electronic medical records and PACS systems
- Ability to work Saturday-Monday schedule and provide reliable coverage
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent training (ARRT credentialing required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
- Experience with GE CT equipment
- Familiarity with PACS and Epic charting systems
- Ability to manage high-volume and emergent imaging environments
- Good patient communication and critical thinking skills
- Basic IV/contrast administration skills preferred
