Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments to patients in accordance with facility protocols
• Perform respiratory assessments and monitor patient status, adjusting therapy as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment while maintaining safety standards
• Document treatments, patient responses, and equipment data accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain skills and compliance

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of Missouri (state licensure required)
• Credentialed RT (CRT or RRT) preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS or PALS as applicable or preferred by facility
• Clinical RT experience preferred; comfortable with ventilator management and oxygen therapy
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent clinical training required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and respiratory care protocols
• Experience with ventilators, airway management, and oxygen delivery systems
• Patient assessment skills and ability to interpret respiratory data
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Professional bedside manner and clear communication with patients and care teams
