Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert ventilator management for adults, pediatrics, and neonates to optimize respiratory outcomes
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide therapy decisions
• Deliver and monitor high flow nasal cannula therapy and other advanced respiratory support
• Conduct EKGs and breathing treatments, documenting findings clearly in Cerner
• Demonstrate proficiency with bronchoscopy-related duties and ventilator procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot telemetry monitors and Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators
• Serve as Charge RT when scheduled, coordinating care and supporting the team 24/7
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy to provide safe, patient-centered acute care

Qualifications

• Valid RRT or CRT credential required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, NICU experience required
• Proficiency with bronchoscopy and advanced ventilator management required
• Experience with Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry preferred
• COVID vaccination required per facility policy
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day shifts, including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
• Travel experience preferred and orientation includes up to 3 shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and Puritan Bennett 840 experience
• ABG analysis and interpretation
• High flow nasal cannula, Vapotherm experience
• EKG performance and interpretation
• Neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care knowledge
• Bronchoscopy proficiency and airway management
• Charting in Cerner and working with Philips telemetry
• Administering chest vest therapy and other respiratory modalities
