Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and act quickly on changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely charting
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient safety and uphold infection control and quality standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Professional, dependable, and able to work independently for per-diem assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BSN encouraged but ADN with relevant experience accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
