Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Deliver trauma-informed care appropriate to MST specialty needs
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and escalate as needed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and resources
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Experience or interest in MST specialty care (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork within fast-paced night environments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in nursing assessments, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Comfortable with trauma-informed approaches and sensitivity to MST-related issues
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) charting and documentation
• Skilled at crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safe patient handling
• Good time management, prioritization, and handoff communication
• Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
