Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients with compassion and clinical confidence
• Assess patient conditions, interpret data, and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions of care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record and participate in unit quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (NH license or compact RN licensure as applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred or available upon hire depending on unit needs
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg nursing preferred; new grads with strong clinical rotations considered
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where specified.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices, principles, and procedures
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Team-oriented approach with excellent patient/family communication
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle a fast-paced clinical environment
