Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
- Document patient care and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Hampshire licensure expected for this facility)
- BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
- Prior medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and care standards
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Medication administration knowledge and safe practice
- Ability to interpret patient data, labs, and vital signs
- Skilled in patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination
