Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe medical-surgical nursing care for adults, managing common MS diagnoses and oncology overflow
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity and compliance
- Assess patients, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and therapies safely, following unit protocols and best practices
- Support smooth patient transitions by communicating clearly with families and care teams
- Maintain up-to-date licensure, certifications, and required profile demographics (including badge-appropriate photo)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (must be able to complete Nursys license verification)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical specialty (required)
- EPIC experience is required — comfortable with documentation and workflows
- Ability to provide a complete work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
- Provide Skills Checklist, References, and Certification Card as part of application
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Medical-Surgical clinical knowledge and assessment skills
- Experience caring for oncology overflow patients is a plus
- Proficient in EPIC for documentation and order workflows
- Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Familiarity with licensure verification via Nursys and credential maintenance
