Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts; schedule varies (day/night rotations). Specific start/end times and weekly schedule to be confirmed with the unit scheduler.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients
Assess and monitor complex physiologic data and respond to changes in condition
Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Lead rapid assessment and emergency response for critically ill patients
Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively during handoffs
Support unit goals and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Experience or background in ICU/critical care (critical care listed as a core skill)
Comfort and ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in rotation of day/night schedules
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and other critical care certifications are a plus
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of critical care principles and hemodynamic monitoring
Skilled in ventilator support and management of advanced life support modalities
Medication administration knowledge for critical care populations
Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple complex patients
