Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and assess patient condition continuously, responding quickly to changes and escalating concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, titrate drips and manage complex ventilator and hemodynamic support per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and care plans in a clear, respectful manner
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety and the overall patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license where applicable
• Clinical experience in adult critical care or ICU preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Medication administration and IV infusion titration
• Proficient clinical documentation and charting
• Collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork and effective communication
