Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to emergency patients
Quickly assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ER environment
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other staff to deliver coordinated care
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California RN preferred or compact RN as applicable
Experience in Emergency Room nursing or acute care settings (per-diem/shift work experience a plus)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
Comfortable with fast decision-making, high-acuity patients, and team-based care
Ability to work overnight hours and adapt to per-diem scheduling

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
Proficiency with monitoring equipment and emergency interventions
Clear, calm communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
Good documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
Critical thinking, prioritization, and the ability to act under pressure
