Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department to patients of all ages
Assess, triage and prioritize patient needs quickly and accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data and escalate concerns when needed
Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Hampshire license or multi-state compact preferred)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Emergency Department experience or strong acute care background preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV starts, medication administration and wound care competency
Familiarity with common ED equipment and monitoring
Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Calm critical thinking under pressure and strong teamwork abilities
