Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy and care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient vital signs and clinical changes accurately
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Report and escalate clinical concerns promptly to ensure resident safety
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (New Mexico licensure preferred or ability to obtain)
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting skills
• Knowledge of long-term care documentation and regulations
• Basic wound care and restorative nursing techniques
• Strong clinical assessment and observation abilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and care plan documentation
