Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
Observe residents closely and report changes in condition to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance wellbeing

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state required)
Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
Prior experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Ability to pass background checks and health screening as required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
Safe transfer and lifting techniques
Comfortable with charting basic care activities and observations
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nurses
Compassion, patience and strong interpersonal skills
