Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility with dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
- Document resident care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance well-being
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active CNA listing/registration in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain it
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Comfortable with direct patient care and able to safely assist with transfers and mobility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-recognized CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of patient hygiene, ADLs, and basic nursing procedures
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Good communication and teamwork skills — you’ll collaborate with nurses and staff
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to engage residents positively
- Basic documentation skills; facility EMR experience is a plus
