Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass and extracorporeal circulation equipment during cardiac procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the OR team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patient physiology and circuit parameters, making timely adjustments during cases
• Document cases accurately and promptly in EPIC and maintain thorough clinical records
• Participate in team huddles, case planning and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Support orientation and preceptor activities to help new staff integrate smoothly

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) via ABCP (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of perfusion experience (as listed)
• Experience working in a Cardiovascular OR / Cardio OR setting
• Comfortable with high-acuity caseloads and a fast-paced acute care environment

Education

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) via ABCP
• BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required (per job details)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perfusion skills and knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass techniques
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and electronic medical record documentation
• Experience in Cardiovascular OR workflows and team communication
• Excellent situational awareness, problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• Attention to detail for setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of perfusion equipment
