Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely per orders
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical status in the chart
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep the unit flowing
• Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs
• Respond calmly and effectively to clinical changes and emergencies

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working in acute or long-term care settings preferred
• Comfort with night shift responsibilities and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic nursing interventions
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
