Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem and beta-blockers
- Provide continuous EEG monitoring for adult and geriatric patients
- Deliver compassionate care to patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
- Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain safe 1:4-5 ratios
- Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed while maintaining excellent communication
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum one year of PCU experience preferred
- Valid driver's license for radius verification
- Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
- EEG monitoring experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication abilities
- Positive attitude with a collaborative spirit
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric populations
