Surgical Tech - CVOR
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with rotating weeknight and weekend call
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- First scrub on open heart procedures including CABG and valve cases
- Prepare CVOR suites and equipment for thoracic and vascular surgeries
- Cross-train into general OR specialties when CV volumes are low
- Provide 1:1 patient sitting support during low case volume periods
- Collaborate with charge nurses and CV team leads on daily scheduling
- Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout procedures
Qualifications
- Current CST or NCCT certification
- BLS certification required
- North Dakota UAP registration
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts
- Proven ability to first scrub on CABG, valves, and thoracic cases
- Willingness to float and cross-train across specialties
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong first scrub skills in CVOR procedures
- Familiarity with ECMO, Impella, and robotic-assisted cases
- Ability to adapt quickly to general OR and ortho cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a family-like atmosphere
- Comfortable with 15-minute call response time
