Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to pregnant women and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
- Perform triage assessments and serve as the baby catcher/transition nurse
- Monitor and titrate Pitocin drips to support safe labor progression
- Collaborate with on-call OB providers and anesthesia for optimal patient outcomes
- Support labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care across the unit
- Float occasionally to med-surg to lend a helping hand when needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
- Ability to triage patients and function independently as baby catcher/transition nurse
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong LDRP and triage skills
- Comfortable managing labor patients and newborn transition
- Familiarity with OBIX EFM system
- Ability to work with limited resources in a rural hospital setting
- Team-oriented with flexibility to support med-surg when needed
