Registered Nurse - ER Float Pool
Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts with schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance; every other weekend and holiday required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate emergency care to patients across multiple facilities
- Manage diverse patient populations including trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases
- Collaborate with physicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Perform point-of-care lab testing and interpret cardiac monitoring
- Float within the zone to support facilities as needed while maintaining high standards of care
- Adapt quickly to different ER environments and patient acuity levels
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Colorado or compact license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience in emergency department settings preferred
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Flexibility to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to varying facility needs
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with standard ER medications and drips
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:4-5 based on acuity
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with 40-168 patients per day
