Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
- Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
- Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems
- Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Float to inpatient units as needed while maintaining excellence in every assignment
- Respond to rapid response teams and codes alongside the charge nurse
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Experience with neuro, cardiac, and respiratory critical care patients
- Comfort with advanced monitoring including ICP, CVP, A-lines, and Swan-Ganz
- Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures in real time
- Positive attitude and collaborative team spirit
