Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence and precision
• Float within a dynamic 60-mile zone, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations while maintaining excellent care standards
• Interpret telemetry strips independently and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to troubleshoot and manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen needs
• Support patients on advanced therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention when acuity demands it

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
• Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
• Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
• Experience with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Flexibility and adaptability to float within a 60-mile zone
• Excellent communication and teamwork across multiple facilities
