Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios during active labor
• Monitor and titrate medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
• Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions including hypertension and diabetes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and babies
• Maintain the unit's high standards as a Blue Distinction+ facility

Qualifications

• Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
• Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Willingness to comply with artificial nail policy for patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of AWHONN guidelines and labor & delivery best practices
• Experience with high-risk obstetrical patients and common diagnoses
• Comfortable with medication titration and drip management
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
