Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to MedSurg patients with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and support post-OR recovery patients with attention to detail and safety
- Float within scope to support various units and patient needs as required
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to facility policies including the no-artificial-nails rule for patient care areas
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical skills for MedSurg and post-OR recovery patients
- Ability to manage nasal cannula oxygen therapy and basic respiratory equipment
- Comfortable floating between units within scope of practice
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented with commitment to patient safety and policy compliance
