Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy PCU unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry, adjusting care based on real-time patient data
Titrate cardiac and critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Manage arterial lines and support patients with complex needs such as post-stent, post-pacer, dialysis, and stroke recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient experience through clear communication and responsiveness

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation
Valid driver's license at time of submission to confirm radius eligibility

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Arterial line management
Care for cardiac, vascular, sepsis, renal, stroke, and respiratory patients
Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
