Location: Merced, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation (Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to adult and geriatric patients across orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary cases
Deliver outpatient therapy services at our dedicated center just 2.5 miles from the main hospital
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, residents, and telemedicine intensivists
Support early mobility programs and contribute to our JCAHO-certified stroke program
Float between inpatient acute care and outpatient settings to meet diverse patient needs
Document patient progress using our upgraded Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Ability to work with diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation techniques
Pulmonary complication management
Early mobility protocols
Outpatient hand therapy approaches
Pediatric and geriatric care across settings
Cerner EMR documentation
